I wish I could live in the 60s

I wish I could live in the 60's,
with hippies I would be.
We'd travel across the country,
filled with wondrous glee.

Staring at the starry sky,
dreaming of wonderful wishes.
Hoping for a world filled with love,
and be rid of luxurious riches.

Using love we could expand our minds
as far as they can be.
From the edges of Earth and space
to the very depths of the sea.

We'd travel by bus to roads unknown,
all the while the path was glowing.
We didn't know where we were headed,
all we knew was that we were going.

Some would try to stop our movement,
all they saw in us was madness.
As they fought with clubs and guns,
we would fight back with kindness.

So put down the guns and raise the flowers.
Fight with love and not with power.
Live in the world of loving lunatics.
Live their life of art and music.
With the wind our cares would be swept away,
and carry us forward to a brighter day.
